Just a little background first….
I was diagnosed with Scoliosis, Spina Bifida and a spondylolisthesis in my L5 vertebra in 2011. It caused me to drop out of CrossFit competition and take a step back in my training for a while. I rested fully for 6 months and re-did all my MRI imaging at the end of the resting period. My vertebra was still broken in 2 places and was showing no signs of healing. Surgery was an option, but not the option that I wanted to pursue.
I was ready to get back into training with my own knowledge of the body, spine and fitness and I began to get back into CrossFit training. With my coach at the time, we developed my core and the muscles in my back to become strong enough to protect my spine, ease most of the pain while training and I was back competing at regionals within a year. Since then I have continued to grow and develop my own core and back strength through lots of trial and error to see what works and makes a big difference in my health and training. I am really excited to spread this knowledge with all of you, and hopefully be a part of your own personal fitness journey.
By using this core strengthening program, the goal is to reduce overall back pain feel better when lifting under tension, and move better overall throughout all movements. These are all the types of exercises and accessory work that I do daily in my own training that have allowed me to compete at the high level that I do.
The Essentials programming will be released on Sunday night of every week with 3 days of core training. These 3 days can be completed as a workout on their own, or in addition to your daily training program.
The Advanced programming will be customized for you and your specific needs and goals through training. I will personally e-mail you your programming for each week that is catered to you and the kind of core / training work that you need. You will be able to email me questions about your training and I will respond as quickly as I can to help you throughout all of your training.
The Premium programming will be customized for you and your specific needs and goals through training. I will personally e-mail you your programming for each week that is catered to you and the kind of core / training work that you need.
You will also have access to my personal phone number and e-mail to be able to contact me directly about any training questions that you may have throughout the week. You will also be able to send me videos from your training for direct review and coaching feedback from your training sessions. We will have a virtual meeting once a month to talk about how training is going, and re-evaluate if needed.
